Kiffin Responds To Accusations From Tennessee

The aftermath following the sports bet departure of head coach Lane Kiffin from Tennessee to Southern California was brutal, with critics ripping apart the former NFL head coach for his supposed "betrayal" of a school that he signed on with to help rebuild and work with long time. Kiffin has coached at all levels of hockey over the years, from high school to college, to the pro level and then back, and that material will serve as a main excerpt in his upcoming HBO excerpt called "Real Sports With Brian Gumbel". However, there will be a piece that is centered on the controversy regarding the coaches most recent decision.

Correspondent Andrea Kramer will delve in to Kiffin's rough time with the Oakland Raiders under owner Al Davis, and ask questions surrounding how tough it was for him to try to establish a football betting foundation there with Davis' running interference, having final say on all personnel decisions. The feature will also talk about what went on that had Kiffin going back on his word to the countless recruits that he had promised he would help mentor and coach over the next few seasons, only to jump ship to take his dream job at USC after former Trojans coach Pete Carroll made the move to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL.

The episode will also talk about salary, issues USC has had with crossing college rules lines, and his coaching future the way he sees it. This will be as tense a battle as the upcoming Champions League Final Betting.

Pac-10 could be decided on Saturday

Online betting sharps figured that the Pac-10 would be fought between USC and Oregon, and the meeting between these two top-10 teams in Eugene on Saturday night could be the game of the year. Here’s a look at what these two will have to do clinch a spot in the Rose Bowl on New Years Day, along with one silent darkhorse waiting for one to slip up.

Oregon (6-1, 4-0) have rolled since the LaGarrette Blount debacle at Boise State to open the season, but no one expected their defense to be as stout, as the Ducks are 19th in the nation. Theis Saturday is huge: the Ducks haven’t won the Pac-10 since 2001, and the Trojans have earned at least a share of the title every year since. Outside of the USC game, the Ducks still have a potentially tricky trip to Arizona.

USC (6-1, 3-1) hasn’t been their dominant selves, but the Trojans keep winning, and that’s all that’s important. The Trojans have let teams get back into the game after leading through the first three quarters in their last three games, and it’s going to bite them at some point. The Trojans play their last road game of the year next week at Arizona State, before ending at home with Stanford, UCLA and Arizona.

Arizona (5-2, 3-1) is the wild-card in this situation, but they’ll need some help (and luck). The Wildcats still have to go to USC, and Oregon is their only home game in a four-game stretch to end the season. Arizona is balanced (12th nationally in offense, 28th on defense), so if you’re looking for a darkhorse, go with the Wildcats.
